Merry Christmas!

Finally, a family photo of all of us together! I discovered as I was trying to put together a Christmas card, that we had no picutres of all of us together. Hope everyone had a great Christmas and have a Happy New Year!

I suppose I should also update anyone who still reads this on what's going on with us.  I recently started a full time job back at Honeywell doing some accounting work. I'm actually working as a contractor on a temporary assignment until August.  I haven't decided if I want something permanent to come up or not, so it's nice to have that option open and a long time to decide.

The same day that I started my job (about 3 weeks ago), Brian also got a job offer on a great position too!  He'd been going back and forth with this company for months and had 3 interviews.  He is now an Applications Engineer with Interface, a company that makes and sells load cells, located in Scottsdale.  In actuality it's more of a sales position so he's excited to be learning something new and is making a great impression in his first 2 weeks on the job.  He'll be covering the Midwest to start out, so hopefully that doesn't include too much travel in the winter!

We're both excited (and relieved) to be working but it left me with no one to make deliveries for the rental business.  I decided to keep it going and hired my good friend Laura and my sister Lauren to run all my deliveries and pick ups during the week.  So far, it's working out great and everything is going well.

Cameron has been adjusting well to going to preschool or daycare every day.  It's so nice to have my family close by so that my mom can pick her up around noon and take her over to her house until we get done with work. She loves going to school and is bummed when the daycare days come up.  Starting in January she'll be going to a 5 day half day preschool program at the same place so she'll be happy about that.  I've actually been off this week and next week so I think that's made it a little easier for her too.

Anyway, hope everyone had a great Christmas again!

Got the tree up!

We just got our tree up and lights on the house in the last couple days.  We've been busy delivering and picking rentals for the business over the last two weeks.  It was really busy which is great and we're hoping for a busy Christmas too.  Brian is going to be taking over running the business for a while since I just got a temporary job at Honeywell for the next several months.

Here's some recent photos of Cameron too. She is loving pre-school and amazes us every day by the things she says and does. I sure will miss seeing her little face during the day!

Here comes the parade!

Feeding the nut"cracker"
After explaining what a nutcracker was, she went to the pantry, got a cracker and stuck it in his mouth, then attempted to crack it.

Flagstaff Trip

A week or so ago we decided to take a drive up to Flagstaff to ride the lift for the last weekend of the summer.  We'd never been up the mountain when there was no snow so we thought it'd be fun for Cameron and a great view.  We drove up to Flag, grabbed some lunch and headed up to the base of the mountain to catch the lift.  It was pretty warm still, around 65 or so, and we went back and forth over whether or not we were going to take our snow jackets up to the top.  Good thing we decided to because I swear it was about 30 degrees up there at 12,000 ft.!  It was a nice 20 minute ride up but the ride down was actually the best to enjoy the view.  We saw the last of the trees changing color (just a few left that were still yellow) and got to see the Grand Canyon from the top.  Here's a few pics from our trip.

Fun with Ellie

Cameron had a few fun days with Ellie before she and her family moved to Wisconsin. She will miss Ellie a lot (and I will miss her momma Nicole!) although she didn't quite understand what "moving" was. I finally had to tell her that she wouldn't be able to play with Ellie any more but that we would visit them. She proceeded to ask if we could go to Wisconsin tomorrow.

These are just a few pics of them playing at our house and at the park. Here's a link to the album too.

Sea World

We took a little trip over to San Diego with my parents this past weekend to visit my mom's brother Jim and his wife Sara. We ended up going to Sea World and even though poor Cameron had been running a fever, she still loved it. Here's some pics from our trip.

Payson

From Payson 0809
We headed up to Payson two weeks ago to get out of the heat and enjoy a little break. Brian was in CA with autocross so it was my parents, grandma, and Cameron all loaded up in my dad's truck with their quads. We had a nice visit with Aunt Frieda, who isn't actually even related to me, and stayed in their guest house. We took the quads up to the Rim one afternoon and rode around a little. Here's a link to all the pics from the weekend.

Mommmyyyyyyy

This is what I heard from the patio -

(knock on the window)
(Cameron's face pressed up against the glass)
Cameron: Mommy?
(knocking again)
Cameron: Mommmmyyyyy?! I need some help. The baby's head is stuck in the bus.
Me: What?
Cam: The baby's head is stuck in the buuuss!

I open the door to find this:

Should I be worried?

Real Pics

I say "real" pictures because they were taken by someone who knows what they are doing, rather than my little pocket camera. My friend Elissa is a budding photographer and I finally made a point to get over to her so she should take some shots of Cameron before she turns 3. We haven't had any professional photos done of her since she was about 7 months old, other than the JC Penny studio shots. They are great! Thanks Elissa! Here's a link to the ones where she wasn't making her typical 2-year-old cheesy-smile-squinted-eye-wrinkled-nose face.

OC Trip

Wow, I haven't posted anything in a month! Guess time flys when you're doing nothing...ha ha. What have we been up to? Well, swimming a lot, trying to get Cam to sleep in her toddler bed, took a trip to Orange County, and I've been working a lot on our national baby equipment rental association. I'm happy to report that it's finally taking off! We have about 40 members nationwide and are doing a big press release next week. Here's some random pics from the last month...

Banquet

Just a cute pic of Cam at Brian's autocross banquet last weekend. It was Hawaiian themed so that's where the hat came from!

Summer Fun

We have been swimming for about the last 2 or 3 weeks since the pool got warm. It's become our after-nap ritual to swim now and Cameron is getting pretty brave already. She has a swim vest that she wears, kind of like a life jacket, but she paddles around the entire pool, goes under water, and jumps off the side by herself already.

I picked up a little t-ball set for Cameron and she seems to be picking it up pretty well. It looks like we might have an athletic girly girl. She loves to change her clothes 4 or 5 times a day and always wants to wear dresses.

Legoland

I forgot to post our pics from our San Diego/Legoland trip. We went over Memorial Day and although it was pretty crowded, we had a lot of fun. All the pics are posted here.

Tidepools at Cabrillo Monument

This seagull was sitting at our table while we were eating at Point Loma Seafoods (a must if you have never been there.) It definitely was not afraid to help itself and I am sure it would have if I turned my back.
