Christmas Photos

We had a great time watching Cameron open her presents this year. She was pretty into it but moved on to something else once she realized that everything had to be taken out of boxes before she could play with her new toys. She has some pretty fun new things to play with including a kitchen set, a rocking horse (that she is afraid of!), and a keyboard with a microphone.

Christmas 2007

A few Christmas photos of Cameron. It was more entertaining to play peek a boo with her dress so most of the photos are kind of silly. She noticed the lights on all the houses a few days ago and always wants to go outside when we get home to look at them. Her eyes get so wide and bright when she sees them and she points and says "looooo". I don't know if that's "look" or "lights" but she's awfully excited.

Sold!

I didn't want to post anything until it was official, but we just signed the closing papers today on the sale of our spec house. Finally! All in all, it was a good experience, except for the 6 months that it took to sell it.

I will have to get Cameron's Christmas photos posted here soon and if I can get on the ball, I'll go buy some stamps for our cards too. They are all ready to go, but they've been riding around stampless in my car for about a week now.

14 months

Cameron is 14 months old today, and it's also her Grandma Annie's birthday too (and her Grandma Cindy's was on the 3rd and her Aunt Renee's was on the 4th)! Here's some pics of Cameron posing and being silly while daddy was trying to take her picture. Yogurt is her favorite food and she always pulls the tub out of the refrigerator any chance she gets, even though I think there's macaroni and cheese in this one!

Getting ready for Christmas

Hope everyone is preparing for Christmas! We are trying to get our lights up on the house today, as long as it's not raining. We did manage to get the tree up on Friday but it has no ornaments on the lower three feet of it's branches!

Thanksgiving Photos

Here's a few photos from our Thanksgiving Survivor Challenge. We always do something wacky since we get so many people together. This year, I think the official count was 72. Definitely one of the bigger get-togethers we've had.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Mommy's little helper dragged out a water jug and a bag of chocolate chips from the pantry for me this morning. These have been her favorite two toys for the last half hour.

First Haircut

Cameron's hair, what little she has, was getting totally out of control so she had her first haircut today. She was really good but kept turning her head trying to see what the stylist was doing. She had a bit of a baby mullet going on but it's a lot better now. You see how it is sticking out in the first picture? The stylist didn't comb it like that, that's just the way it always was! It's much better now so I'll have to get an "after" picture tomorrow.

House still for sale!

We still have our spec house for sale and it's a bargain if anyone is interested! We just got it staged (ie filled with furniture) and I was surprised at how big of a difference it made. Our updated listing comes out today so I'm hoping to get some more showings. Here are some pictures of the new and improved inside and outside.

Train Park

My friend Elissa and I went to McCormick Train Park today with our kids. It was pretty fun once we found a parking space. Apparently everyone is out enjoying the nice weather. We took a ride on the miniature train and went on the carousel. Here's a few pics of all of us.

1 Year Check Up

Cameron had her one year old check up today and is 31"(95%) and 20.1lbs (35%). She's still tall and thin according to the charts, but I'm not sure just how chubby they want her to be. She's not skinny by any means. We'll be trying to switch from formula to whole milk here soon. We tried it a few weeks ago and she wanted nothing to do with regular milk, regardless of what I tried, so hopefully it'll go better the next round. She got her three shots which we'll be dealing with tomorrow so I have the Tylenol ready. It started to hit her tonight and she was pretty tired by about 6:30.

On a side note, my business is going really well and I finally got some deliveries on my side of town. So far, I don't think I've been any closer than 25 miles from my house for any delivery, and I had a request for Florence the other day too! I had to pass on that one but I did offer to meet them in between. So, I was so excited when I got one for Goodyear and I didn't have to plan ahead for an hour and a half round trip.

Cameron's First Birthday Party

We had a few family and friends over for Cameron's first birthday party yesterday. I think she had a lot of fun opening and playing with her new toys! She wasn't too sure about the birthday cake at first but she got into it after a few minutes. Here's a few pictures and here's a link to more. Goings On

We're back in the routine again after our Seattle trip. My new rental business is going well so far. I have four or five rentals under my belt and a few more scheduled for this month. Cameron is getting bigger by the day, both in size and personality. She's trying to master feeding herself right now, much to Brian's disgust. He can't stand it when she has food all over her face, let alone her hair, hands, arms, chest, and belly. She's got the pointy finger down pretty good, so we hear a lot of "da da da da" or lip smacking (when there is food involved) accompanied by a pointing finger. And to the dogs' delight, she throws all her food on the floor when she's done with it. Here's a few pics of letting her feed herself some baked beans. Mmmm, yummy. Cameron will be 1 on October 6th, so mark your calendars for a party (that she won't even remember)!

Seattle

We had a great trip to Seattle this past week. It was nice and cool and only cloudy one day that we were there. I hadn't been there since I was about 12 so we did all kinds of sightseeing and also visited my friends April and Joe and their baby Conner. We stayed with our family in Edmonds, north of Seattle and visited the Boeing Museum, Snoqualmie Falls, took a ferry to Lopez Island, did a harbor cruise, went to Pike's Market, hiked at Mt. Rainier, went up the Space Needle, and lots of other fun things. Cameron did pretty well but was definitely maxed out by the time our overbooked flight home came around. She spent three hours climbing on me and trying to get down although there was no where for her to go. There's lots more pictures here.

A trip to Costco

Our trip to Costco this week yielded a fun toy for Cameron and $200 worth of other stuff that we didn't know we needed. We only went to return something!

Plus here's another pic of us trying on new clothes for our trip on Tuesday. I got this entire outfit at Ross for $8.99. Gotta love Ross!
