Our new maid

Here's a few pictures of my little helper vacuuming with me yesterday.

And a happy birthday to Josh, who is turning 2 today! Cameron's 2nd birthday is just 4 weeks away too. I can hardly believe it.

She's been growing a lot lately. We blew through 2T's in about a month and are on to 3T now. She's really tall for her age right now and she definitely has my family's long legs even if she doesn't look like me at all. Her talking is getting better every day and it's hilarious to hear her repeat things we've said that we didn't know she heard. She told my dad to put on his seatbelt the other day and although we always wear them, we've never made it a point to say something about it in the car.

She loves to play the ABC game on the computer and is obsessed with "driving" the car. She throws a fit 90% of the time when we get in or out of the car and I don't let her get in the driver's seat and play with everything. Needless to say, she is definitely in the "terrible twos". We have a few incidents a day of screaming and laying on the floor, none of which have gotten her anything yet, but she's persisitent that's for sure.

Oh yeah, and taking her diaper off at nap time is a new stunt that comes every day now too. I've tried the zip up pajamas with a snap on the top, onesies with snaps, shorts, and diaper covers. If anyone has any idea on how I can not go in to get a butt naked baby during nap time, please let me know!

Another trip to SD

We took another trip to San Diego this past weekend and Cameron got to actually enjoy the beach this time. Once we put her shoes on her, she was happy and ready to play in the ocean. She did NOT like the sand to touch her bare feet though! She was one pooped little girl at the end of the day.

Here's a few videos of her and some pics.

Name and Number

Here's a couple videos of Cameron counting to ten and saying everyone's names. She whispers the first few numbers but she's getting them all in there now. Sorry about the uncombed crazy hair, but it actually looks the same when it's combed too.

Word Search

I have to steal a post from my friend Raquel because I thought it was so cute! Her youngest and Cameron are about 5 months apart and I have to share some new words that are coming out of Cameron's mouth lately.

lopah = granola bar
uty.....ahms = lucky charms (this took me a looong time to figure out)
nup = milk
tamin peeors = cameron peters
bahly = molly (our dog)

A lot of her words are pretty clear now but she still comes up with some funny stuff. She's counting to 10 by herself and we are still working on potty training. School buses are an obsession and she can pick one out from a mile away. I just hear "koo bus!, Lellow (yellow)!" yelled over and over until it's out of sight. "Neeeeew" anything is also a favorite word too. Everything is new, including my friend Laura's newborn, who Cameron saw a picture of and said "neeeeew baby". At least she was right on that one.

We are having a great time with her and are planning on going to San Diego again next weekend. Hopefully there is no fly incident this time. I'll get some new photos posted soon!

San Diego

We went to San Diego over the weekend for an autocross. There is one photo to prove we were there! Here's a link to all our photos. Cameron went to the beach for the first time and did not like it at all. She wanted nothing to do with the sand or water so our visit to the beach was pretty short. Could have had something to do with the fact that she refused to sleep on the entire 5 hour drive over and was traumatized by a fly that none of the rest of us could seem to find in the car. She has developed quite a fear of bugs and flies for some reason. Anyway, it was a fun trip and was nice to get out of the heat for a few days.

NYC

We had a great time in NYC. Here's a few of the interesting pics and a link to all of them.

At Top of the Rock, central park in the background.

At Good Morning America summer concert in Bryant Park with Maroon 5.

Renee, Mom, and Lauren

Had to capture the moment and wonder, why did we come all the way to NYC to eat in a bad Mexican restaurant called Tequilaville or something like that. It was late and we couldn't find the pub that Chris was looking for so there's where we ended up.

The Brooklyn Bridge with Manhattan in the background.

Had to capture the "Today Fever" special. Not sure what English saying was misinterpreted there but it was funny.

The cheese counter inside Murray's cheese shop in Greenwich Village. Brian and I did a walking food tour and history that was pretty good.

Cameron and Zeta

We've had a lot going on lately - Brian and I just got back from a 5 day trip to NYC with my family. We had a great time and really surprised my mom, who had no idea we were all coming with her until we showed up at the gate. As soon as we get the pics off Brian's camera I'll post a link.

Cameron has been potty training for the last month or so and is doing pretty well. We're still in diapers but hoping to move on to pull ups pretty soon. She's counting to 10 and usually gets all of the numbers in there and is learning basic colors.

First Race Car

We've had this for a couple months but Cameron finally got up the nerve to go for a ride. All she would do before was say "no, no, no, no" over and over when we put her in it. Today she got in by herself while we were in the garage loading up some baby stuff and asked to go for a ride. We rode up and down the street and around in the driveway. I took it on my camera so the quality's not the best but it's pretty cute.

I have these three following me around all day!
