Real Pics

I say "real" pictures because they were taken by someone who knows what they are doing, rather than my little pocket camera. My friend Elissa is a budding photographer and I finally made a point to get over to her so she should take some shots of Cameron before she turns 3. We haven't had any professional photos done of her since she was about 7 months old, other than the JC Penny studio shots. They are great! Thanks Elissa! Here's a link to the ones where she wasn't making her typical 2-year-old cheesy-smile-squinted-eye-wrinkled-nose face.

OC Trip

Wow, I haven't posted anything in a month! Guess time flys when you're doing nothing...ha ha. What have we been up to? Well, swimming a lot, trying to get Cam to sleep in her toddler bed, took a trip to Orange County, and I've been working a lot on our national baby equipment rental association. I'm happy to report that it's finally taking off! We have about 40 members nationwide and are doing a big press release next week. Here's some random pics from the last month...

Banquet

Just a cute pic of Cam at Brian's autocross banquet last weekend. It was Hawaiian themed so that's where the hat came from!

Summer Fun

We have been swimming for about the last 2 or 3 weeks since the pool got warm. It's become our after-nap ritual to swim now and Cameron is getting pretty brave already. She has a swim vest that she wears, kind of like a life jacket, but she paddles around the entire pool, goes under water, and jumps off the side by herself already.

I picked up a little t-ball set for Cameron and she seems to be picking it up pretty well. It looks like we might have an athletic girly girl. She loves to change her clothes 4 or 5 times a day and always wants to wear dresses.

Legoland

I forgot to post our pics from our San Diego/Legoland trip. We went over Memorial Day and although it was pretty crowded, we had a lot of fun. All the pics are posted here.

This seagull was sitting at our table while we were eating at Point Loma Seafoods (a must if you have never been there.) It definitely was not afraid to help itself and I am sure it would have if I turned my back.

Microburst?

So Cam and I were in the pool a couple days ago when all of a sudden it got super windy. Leaves blew everwhere, the garbage cans blew over, our gate almost came off it's hinges, and Cameron's swing set up-ended itself! It was about 30 seconds in total time but was very bizarre! We had a lot of fun trying to pick this thing up too.

School Program

A few updates on Cameron - we are completely potty trained during the day, just not at night. Yay! and that means she gets to go to the 3 day preschool in the summer too! She LOVES her 2 day preschool right now but it's ending this week. She'll go to the same place but with a different teacher in the summer. Today she showed me how to write a letter A, using yogurt spread all over the table nonetheless, but I was pretty impressed that she knew. She told me her aunt Lauren, my sister, taught her. She can count to 20 but usually skips 17, can sing a million songs, even from the radio, and wants to do everything for herself.
At school, they did a parent's program last week where the teachers got all the preschool classes up on the stage to sing us songs. She did great until right before they started and another kid pushed her out of the way to get up front. That was it, she cried for the 1st half of the song, then came off the stage with me, the cried the entire rest of the performance outside with me. So much for all that practicing! Oh well, next time! At the end, they all lined back up to go with their classes while the parents stayed in the chapel. Apparently she lined up with the wrong class because 5 minutes later we came out to a random other teacher holding her while she was still crying, not knowing where she was supposed to be. Not sure how her teachers totally missed her since she walked out holding her teacher's hand, but it was confusing with all the parents there. Anyway, here's some pics of the party before and in the church singing.

Easter 2009 Pics

We visited Mark and Charlotte's house for our annual Easter get-together, hunted eggs, and took a whack at the pinata. Cameron had fun hunting for eggs but didn't want to touch the real ones because they were sticky from the dye. She was pretty excited when she realized the fake ones had candy in them though. She even hid some for herself then went back and found them. Here she is in her Easter dress infront of the house.

Realizing there is candy in the eggs!
